Battle Simulator - an insight

Battle Simulator was initially a gift for someone on Christmas, no names mentioned. It was inspired off of a small paper game I used to do with my classmates all the way back in primary. It functioned much the same way, with top down movement, stragetic hiding, respawnbale players, shooting, upgrades, yadda yadda. In full honesty, Battle Simulator is a digital revival of the old times where I used to play on notebooks with my friends. The development behind Battle Simulator (Im not calling it bs for obvoious reasons), was way simpler that expected. The hardest part, really, was making the AI function based off of overlapping zones and triggers. The same logic was used for the entities in Devoid, and it works really well. The AI detects if the player is nearby, then moves towards it. If not, it moves towards the player's base to attack it.
The tiling for the maps of the game was perhaps the second-hardest part of the game. I had to make each tile act differently when overlapping the player, and the design for each map also took a while.
So, yeah, enjoy the game and expect further games coming in the next few months!
